US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland’s contribution to undermining the relations between Moscow and Washington is colossal, she put all her efforts into destroying the dialogue, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said, commenting on Nuland’s retirement on the sidelines of the World Youth Festival.
"She should have used her knowledge about Russia on upbuilding, but she used it on destruction of bilateral relations. And, in general, I believe, her personal contribution to undermining the trust between our countries was colossal," the diplomat noted. "It’s a different story, though, that she is most likely not the only one or the mastermind, but, one way or another, she has become the face of everything that is happening around Ukraine right now."
"She did not engage in diplomacy, she engaged in interference in internal affairs of other countries, primarily our country, Ukraine, Eastern and Western Europe," the diplomat said. "She engaged in implementation and forming of a destructive course - destructive not only for other states, but for the US as well, because it has led to a fiasco of the US foreign policy."
"This fiasco is total. Zelensky rushes about, he is begging for anything at all, the White House denies his pleas. There is a total disarray within NATO," the spokeswoman noted.
