Russian engineers working to clear mined areas in Kupyansk direction

The soldiers had to remove unexploded ordnance and foreign-made munitions, the Russian defense agency says

MOSCOW, January 13. /TASS/. Minesweepers from units of Russia’s Battlegroup West are clearing areas and sectors of roads mined by the Ukrainians near the Kupyansk sector of the line of engagement in the military operation zone, the Russian Defense Ministry told TASS.

While carrying out combat missions, Russian soldiers had to remove various mines, unexploded ordnance and foreign-made munitions, the Russian defense agency added.

"In engineering terms, we outdo the enemy by far, as we [find] Soviet, US, Polish or Yugoslav-made mines. We clear all this out with the overhead charge," engineer Dmitry Fyodorov says in a video provided by Russia’s Defense Ministry.
