UNITED NATIONS, January 4. /TASS/. The global community must cool hotheads in Washington, for whom the next conflict in the Middle East is just an element of the geopolitical game, Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya said.
"The so-called international maritime coalition put together by Washington, as far as we can tell, largely consists in actual fact of the United States warships, despite the loud name, and legitimacy of its action from the standpoint of internal law gives rise to the most serious doubts," the Russian diplomat noted.
"Therefore, our task at present is not merely to confirm the collective signal agreed on December 1 to the Ansar Allah [Houthi movement] about the unacceptability of their actions but also to cool hotheads in Washington, for whom the next conflict in the Middle East is just a portion of their own geopolitical game," Nebenzya added.
