Warsaw’s words about giving Kiev long-range missiles directed against Poland — diplomat

This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova

MOSCOW, January 3. /TASS/. Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski’s statements about the necessity of sending long-range missiles to Ukraine are targeted against his own country, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

"Should these missiles, according to Sikorski, have such a range that will enable them to reach Poland’s borders? Was it not enough for them what has already flown in from Ukrainian territory? As they say, New Year’s wishes should come true," she wrote on her Telegram channel. "I understand that Sikorski has no outstanding ideas of his own, only American ones. But it should not be at a level of acting against his own country. Although it is a big question which country he views as his."

Earlier, Sikorski wrote on his X page (formerly known as Twitter) that Western countries "should respond to the latest onslaught on Ukraine" by tightening sanctions and "giving Kiev long-range missiles that will enable it to take out launch sites and command centers" on Russian territory.

On December 30, the Ukrainian armed forces carried out a shelling attack on downtown Belgorod, using two rockets with cluster munitions and Czech-made MLRS shells. According to the latest statistics, 25 people were killed, including five children, and over 100 more were wounded. Dozens of residential buildings and civilian facilities were damaged. On December 31, the Russian Defense Ministry informed that in response to a shelling attack on Belgorod, Ukraine’s military targets were hit, including in Kharkov, which caused considerable losses to the Ukrainian military.
