MOSCOW, December 14. /TASS/. The Kiev government is getting more and more in trouble, but Ukraine knows perfectly well how settlement can be achieved, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with the Rossiya-24 television.
"Clearly, the situation is changing, and these changes are not favorable for the Kiev regime. At the same time, the Kiev regime knows perfectly well what they should do. They are well aware of our concerns and of the red lines they had crossed. So, they know what needs to be done," the Kremlin spokesman said, commenting on a shift in the West’s recent rhetoric.
He went on to say that the United States and its European allies "continue to repeat their mantra about supporting Ukraine for as long as it takes."
"But they have already begun making reservations about doing this whenever possible," Peskov said. "However, they have not yet been able to define the limits of ‘possible.’"
"We’ll see whether the current predicament will spur them [the Kiev government] to make the right decision," the Kremlin spokesman added.
