MOSCOW, November 13. /TASS/. Moscow supports Mali's appeal to the UN Security Council on Ukraine's support for terrorists in the Sahel region, Russian Presidential Special Envoy for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said in an interview with TASS following the first Russia-Africa ministerial conference.

"Of course, we support [Mali's appeal]. They probably have their reasons," he said in response to a related question.

In August, Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger sent a letter to the chairman of the UN Security Council condemning Ukraine's open support of international terrorism, particularly in the Sahel region. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov earlier described Ukraine's work with terrorist organizations in Mali and other countries as a proven fact.
