MOSCOW, December 13. /TASS/. Every country is entitled to combat terrorism, but it is unacceptable to harm civilians while doing so, Dmitry Medvedev, Chairman of the United Russia Party, said at the "Future of Russia" discussion platform.
"Of course, we always oppose all forms of terror, terrorism and understand that any state is entitled to combat terrorism, but any fight must be proportionate and must not inflict unacceptable damage to civilians," Medvedev said, answering a question from a student from Palestine, who asked Medvedev to share his opinion on the "US’ double standards regarding the genocide in Gaza."
He underscored that Russia defends these principles in the UN.
"I believe that this is absolutely right," he added.
