MOSCOW, November 20. /TASS/. Russian forces struck Ukrainian troops and military hardware in 123 areas over the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Monday.
"Operational/tactical and army aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile troops and artillery of the Russian groupings of forces inflicted damage on the Ukrainian army’s manpower and military equipment in 123 areas," the ministry said in a statement.

Russian forces repelled three Ukrainian army attacks in the Kupyansk area, eliminating roughly 30 enemy troops over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Kupyansk direction, units of the western battlegroup conducted active operations with the support of aircraft, artillery and heavy flamethrower systems, repelling three attacks by assault groups of the Ukrainian army’s 30th mechanized brigade near the settlement of Zagoruikovka in the Kharkov Region," the ministry said.
Russian forces inflicted damage on manpower and military equipment of the Ukrainian army’s 14th and 41st mechanized brigades and 57th motorized infantry brigade in areas near the settlements of Kurilovka, Podoly, Timkovka and Sinkovka in the Kharkov Region. The enemy’s losses amounted to 30 Ukrainian personnel, three motor vehicles and a 2S1 Gvozdika motorized artillery system, it specified.

Russian forces repulsed a Ukrainian army attack in the Krasny Liman area, eliminating roughly 50 enemy troops over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Krasny Liman direction, an attack by an assault group of the Ukrainian National Guard’s 50th regiment was repulsed by well-coordinated operations of units from the battlegroup Center in interaction with army aircraft and artillery near the settlement of Grigorovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
In addition, Russian forces inflicted damage on the personnel and military hardware of the Ukrainian army’s 67th mechanized brigade and 125th territorial defense brigade near the settlements of Yampolovka and Serebryanka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The enemy’s losses amounted to "50 personnel and two motor vehicles," the ministry specified.

"In the Donetsk direction, units of the southern battlegroup supported by artillery and heavy flamethrower systems repelled an attack by an assault group of the Ukrainian army’s 67th mechanized brigade near the settlement of Kleshcheyevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
In addition, Russian forces inflicted damage on manpower and military equipment of the Ukrainian army’s 28th and 30th mechanized brigades near the settlements of Vasyukovka and Kurdyumovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the ministry said.
"The Ukrainian army’s losses in that direction amounted to over 130 personnel killed and wounded, two infantry fighting vehicles and three motor vehicles. In counter-battery fire, two Msta-B howitzers, a Gvozdika motorized artillery system and a D-30 artillery gun were destroyed," the ministry specified.

"In the south Donetsk direction, units of the battlegroup East capitalizing on the results of artillery fire inflicted damage on manpower and equipment of the Ukrainian army’s 79th air assault brigade near the settlement of Novomikhailovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The enemy’s losses amounted to 70 personnel, an infantry fighting vehicle and two motor vehicles," the ministry said.

Russian forces inflicted damage on two Ukrainian army brigades in the Zaporozhye area over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Zaporozhye direction, units of the Russian battlegroup, air strikes and artillery fire inflicted damage on amassed manpower and equipment of the Ukrainian army’s 82nd air assault and 71st jaeger brigades near the settlement of Verbovoye in the Zaporozhye Region," the ministry said.
Russian forces destroyed as many as 20 Ukrainian personnel and two motor vehicles in the Zaporozhye direction over the past 24 hours, it specified.

Russian forces destroyed roughly 40 Ukrainian troops in the Kherson area over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Kherson direction, as many as 40 Ukrainian personnel and three motor vehicles were destroyed as a result of damage inflicted by combined firepower," the ministry said.
Russian air defenses down five Ukrainian military drones over past day
Russian air defense forces shot down five Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles and intercepted three rockets of the US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system over the past day, the ministry reported.
"Air defense capabilities shot down five Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in areas near the settlements of Verkhnekamenka in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Donetsk and Peski in the Donetsk People’s Republic and intercepted three rockets of the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system," the ministry said.
