MOSCOW, March 16. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin is convinced that Russia has many friends in Western countries.

"The country consists of population, of people, and we have very many friends in these countries, very many," Putin noted at the congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs on Thursday.

The president noted that this attitude was very different from the mood of the so-called elites and governing circles in the West.
