MOSCOW, December 1. /TASS/. Syria’s government army and Russia’s aerospace forces continue repelling terrorists’ aggression in Idlib, Hama, and Aleppo, killing at least 320 militants and destroying over 60 their combat vehicles during the past day, Oleg Ignasyuk, deputy chief of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Parties in Syria (a division of the Russian defense ministry), said.
"The Syrian government army, backed by the Russian aerospace forces, continues the operation to rebuff the terrorist aggression in the Idlib, Hama, and Aleppo governorates. During the past day, missile and bomb strikes were delivered on areas of the deployement of militants and their weapons, arms and munitions depots, artillery and air defense positions, and control centers. At least 320 militants were killed and 63 armored and other combat vehicles were destroyed," he said.
He also said that aircraft of the so-called international anti-terrorist coalition led by the United States continue to create dangerous situations that may cause air accidents or incidents and escalate the situation in Syria’s airspace.
"During the day, three violations of the deconfliction protocols of December 9, 2019 linked with the flights by the US-led coalition unmanned aerial vehicles were reported during the day," he said, adding that there were 54 such violations in November.
Apart from that, five pairs of the coalition’s F-15 fighter jets violated Syria’s airspace in the al-Tanf area, across which international air routes run, ten times during the day. In November, as many as 345 such violations were reported.
