DPR head says Russian forces move ahead at key spots in Artyomovsk

It is noted that battles are now taking place on the outskirts of the town, in the neighborhoods that were held by Ukrainian units just recently

MOSCOW, January 30. /TASS/. Denis Pushilin, the interim head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, on Monday said Russian forces are moving ahead at the key spots in Artyomovsk, but operational encirclement of Ukrainian forces hadn’t been achieved yet.

"It’s too early yet to talk about operational encirclement of Artyomovsk. Fierce battles are ongoing. PMC Wagner continues to operate there on a daily basis: day and night. In some places, there are trench clashes, but we are seeing movement forward at key spots," he said on Rossiya-24 television.

According to Pushilin, battles are now taking place on the outskirts of the town, in the neighborhoods that were held by Ukrainian units just recently. The DPR and LPR have said repeatedly that Ukraine is moving reserves to the Artyomovsk area where its forces are suffering substantial losses.
