Storing munitions at NPPS in Ukraine seen as new form of nuclear terrorism

According to Vladimir Rogov, the IAEA has not yet commented on these reports

MOSCOW, January 24. /TASS/. The use of Ukrainian nuclear power plants as storage facilities for munitions is a new form of nuclear terrorism, Vladimir Rogov, leader of the We Are Together with Russia movement, said on Tuesday.

"Why do they use them as storage facilities? They understand perfectly well that we will not shoot there. Unlike them, we are not engaged in nuclear terrorism, since the storage of weapons, especially offensive weapons, not simply firearms used by security guards, at a nuclear plant is nuclear terrorism, a new form of nuclear terrorism the [Ukrainian President Vladimir] Zelensky regime is making use of," he said in an interview with the Solovyov Live television channel.

According to Rogov, the IAEA has not yet commented on these reports.

The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service said on Monday that Ukrainian troops were storing munitions coming from Western countries, including HIMARS rockets, on the territories of nuclear power plants in the country. According to Renat Karchaa, an adviser to the head of Russia’s Rosenergoatom nuclear power engineering company, the idea to store munitions on the territories of Ukrainian nuclear power plants could only have been thought up in the United States, since the Ukrainian side cannot but see the hazards of such actions.
