Kherson Region police quash activities of Jehovah’s Witnesses cell

It is noted that more than 1,700 copies of printed material with extremist content and mobile display cart were seized

GENICHESK, January 24. /TASS/. Kherson Region police have terminated the activities of a group of Jehovah’s Witnesses, an organization that’s designated as extremist in Russia, the regional Interior Ministry office said on Tuesday.

Police in the Kherson Region town of Alyoshky searched a house that served as a Kingdom Hall - a place of meetings for the group, the office said in a statement. They seized more than 1,700 copies of printed material with extremist content and mobile display carts that are used to disseminate banned literature, according to the statement.
