Russian diplomat points to West’s reluctance to ‘accept the obvious’ on biolabs

Sergey Ryabkov also noted that the information that Russia had received during its special military operation only confirmed the relevance of Moscow’s approach aimed at strengthening the Biological Weapons Convention

MOSCOW, January 23. /TASS/. Western countries refuse to accept the obvious data on biological laboratories, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov told reporters on Monday.

"There was a review conference [of the Biological Weapons Convention]. It was an event where all the information that we had obtained during the special military operation in Ukraine was deeply analyzed and discussed. Unfortunately, the reaction was negative and politicized. People simply refuse to accept the obvious. It reflects their reluctance to come to grips with the completely valid and justified position for strengthening the Convention and bringing order to the United States’ military biological activities not only in Ukraine but also in other parts of the world," the senior diplomat pointed out.

Ryabkov also noted that the information that Russia had received during its special military operation only confirmed the relevance of Moscow’s approach aimed at strengthening the Biological Weapons Convention.
