Chinese-Russian relations developing in right direction, says Beijing

In 2022, trade between Russia and China grew by 29.3% year-on-year to a record-high of 190.27 billion US dollars

BEIJING, January 17. /TASS/. Beijing and Moscow continue to develop their relations in the right direction, Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu said on Tuesday at a meeting with Russian Ambassador to China Igor Morgulov.

"Under the strategic leadership of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese Russian relations of comprehensive strategic cooperation and partnership in the new era are developing in the right direction," the Chinese foreign ministry quoted him as saying.

According to the Chinese senior diplomat, China, together with Russia, is ready to implement an important consensus that was reached by the two heads of state. Beijing is ready to continue strengthening mutual political trust with Moscow, expanding cooperation in various spheres and developing bilateral relations to a higher level.
