Nationalists, mercenaries in Ukraine open fire on combat medics — Russian Defense Ministry

According to Igor Konashenkov, snipers open fire from a large distance at medics evacuating wounded Russian military, as well as at medics providing assistance to local residents

MOSCOW, March 10. /TASS/. Nationalists and foreign mercenaries in Ukraine ambush medical vehicles, while snipers open fire on medics evacuating wounded Russian military, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Thursday.

"Over the past few days, attacks on Russian medics and special medical vehicles from Ukrainian nationalists and mercenaries who arrived in Ukraine from the US, UK and Europe have become more frequent. The Nazis deliberately ambush medical vehicles marked with a red cross," the spokesman said.

According to Konashenkov, snipers open fire from a large distance at medics evacuating wounded Russian military, as well as at medics providing assistance to local residents.

These facts once again confirm the Nazi nature of the Kiev regime that publicly calls for the killing of any Russians without exception in violation of the international humanitarian law.

Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24 launched a special military operation in Ukraine following a request for assistance from the leaders of the Donbass republics. He said Moscow had no plans for an occupation of Ukrainian territories. The sole purpose is the country’s demilitarization and denazification. The Russian Defense Ministry says its forces are not attacking cities. Their focus is entirely on military infrastructures.
