The company will also continue providing support services in full, all mobile applications and services will continue normal operation

MOSCOW, March 5. /TASS/. The suspension of supplies to Russia by the South Korean Samsung is temporary, all applications and support services will continue operating in full. Samsung official stores will also continue working, a source in the company told TASS.

"The current situation has resulted in temporary interruption of our supplies to Russia. Due to the current circumstances some time may be spent to find a solution. Nevertheless, we will resume stable operation as soon as possible. The online store and official stores of Samsung in Russia will also continue working," the source said.

The company will also continue providing support services in full, he said, adding that all mobile applications and services will continue normal operation.

Earlier, Samsung Electronics said it had suspended exports of all its products ranging from chips to smartphones and consumer electronics to Russia due to current geopolitical developments.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on February 24 that in response to a request by the heads of the Donbass republics he had made a decision to carry out a special military operation in Ukraine, stressing that Moscow had no plans of occupying Ukrainian territories. Western countries responded to the actions of the Russian authorities by slapping sanctions against physical and legal entities. The Republic of Korea joined sanctions against Russian organizations.
