Magnitude 5.0 earthquake occurs in Aegean Sea near Greek coast

ATHENS, September 22. /TASS/. A magnitude 5.0 earthquake has been recorded in the Aegean Sea region, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center reported.

The epicenter of the tremors was located 111 km southeast of the Greek city of Thessaloniki, which has a population of approximately 350,000 people. The hypocenter was at a depth of 5 km.

No information about casualties or damage has been reported.
