Doctors help 552 people in flood zone in Russia’s Orenburg region

Psychological assistance was provided to 659 residents

ORENBURG, April 14. /TASS/. Ambulance teams helped to 552 injured in the emergency zone in Russia’s Orenburg region, psychological assistance was provided to 659 people, the press service of the regional government reported on Sunday.

"There are 70 emergency medical teams in the emergency zone, which helped 552 people. <…> Psychological assistance was provided to 659 residents," the statement said.

A state of emergency due to flooding was announced in Russia’s Orenburg region on April 4. After a dam break in Orsk on April 6, the flood in the Orenburg region was classified as a federal emergency. By April 13, the water level of the Ural River in Orsk fell below the dangerous level of 700 cm and currently reaches 699 cm.
