Kiev troops shell Melitopol, hit railroad facility

According to preliminary information, the motive power depot in Melitopol was hit as a result of the shelling attack, carried out by Ukrainian militants at 5:30 Moscow time

MELITOPOL, March 29. /TASS/. The armed forces of Ukraine shelled the city of Melitopol in the Zaporozhye Region on Wednesday morning, hitting facilities on the territory of a motive power depot, a spokesperson for the city’s emergencies services has told reporters.

"According to preliminary information, the motive power depot in Melitopol was hit as a result of the shelling attack, carried out by Ukrainian militants at 5:30 Moscow time. Damage was reported, but no casualties," the spokesperson said.

On Wednesday, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi will pay a visit to the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), located in the city of Energodar of the same region. It will be his second trip to the nuclear facility in the past six months.
