At least 28 killed in Pakistani mosque blast — news agency

Authorities in Peshawar have declared a medical emergency in all hospitals in the city

MOSCOW, January 30. /TASS/. At least 28 people were killed in an explosion at a mosque in the city of Peshawar, not far from Pakistan’s border with Afghanistan, Reuters reported on Monday citing local authorities.

According to them, at least 150 injured people were hospitalized.

Earlier, Pakistan’s Geo TV channel reported that the blast took place during the noon prayer at the mosque where a lot of people had gathered. A suicide bomber struck inside the mosque.

Authorities in Peshawar have declared a medical emergency in all hospitals in the city, and have ordered rescue agencies to step up their relief efforts.
