Investment growth in Russia becomes record in 12 years in 2023 — PM

Mikhail Mishustin noted that "some 65 agreements on production and encouragement of capital investment" worth around $43 bln had been signed by the beginning of this year

MOSCOW, April 3. /TASS/. Investment in Russia gained around 10% last year, which is a record level over the past years, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said in an annual report at the State Duma (lower house of the parliament).

"Support of investment is an important factor that allowed reaching final results in the economy overall. Last year their volume increased by around 10%, which is a 12-year record," he said.

Entrepreneurs invest their money in Russia, Mishustin stressed. "The government offered dividing risks between the state and business. Some 65 agreements on production and encouragement of capital investment worth around 4 trillion rubles ($43 bln) had been signed by the beginning of this year," he noted.
