Putin suggests introducing differential taxation rates

The Russian leader also stressed the need to incentivize the business investing in development and implementation of infrastructural and social projects

MOSCOW, February 29. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin suggested thinking out a more fair distribution of the tax burden.

"I suggest thinking over approaches towards modernization of our fiscal system, more fair distribution of the fiscal burden to the side of those having higher personal and corporate incomes. And, on the contrary, the tax burden should be lowered for families, including at the expense of deductions I have already mentioned today," the Russian leader said in the State of the Nation Address to the Federal Assembly.

It is also needed to incentivize the business investing in development and implementation of infrastructural and social projects, the president said. "At the same time, various loopholes used by certain companies to evade taxes or understate their fiscal payments should be definitely closed," Putin added.
