MOSCOW, February 28. /TASS/. The Bank of Russia revoked the banking license from Gefest Bank based in the Tver Region by its order of February 28, 2024, the regulator reports on its website.
"The Bank of Russia informs about the decision made to revoke the banking license since February 28, 2024 from Gefest Commercial Bank Limited Liability Company," the Central Bank says.
The bank has lost the license in view of noncompliance with federal laws and regulations of the Central Bank, the regulator noted.
This is the second revocation of the banking license from the almost two-year break. On February 21, the Central Bank revoked the license of Qiwi Bank, which ranked in the Top 100 of Russian credit institutions by the asset size.
