MOSCOW, February 22. /TASS/. The Sultanate of Oman will be a guest country of Russia’s St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in 2024, according to the official Telegram channel of the Roscongress Foundation.
The information was confirmed by Ambassador of Oman to Russia Hamood bin Salim bin Abdullah Altowaiya during a meeting with Advisor to the Russian President Anton Kobyakov.
"Despite the difficult geopolitical circumstances, Russia has effectively developed mutually beneficial partnerships with Arab countries. The finest example of this is the involvement of Arab leaders in the SPIEF, the Russia-Africa summit, and summit meetings in the UAE and Saudi Arabia," Kobyakov noted.
Over the past few years, SPIEF guest countries have included Qatar, Egypt, and the UAE.
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will be held on June 5-8, 2024.
