According to the Russian leader, only a strong, stable and sovereign country can successfully navigate this stage and become one of the growth centers of the new global economy

MOSCOW, December 7. /TASS/. The world has entered an era of significant adversity and radical change, affecting not only certain industries, but also entire countries and regions, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the "Russia Calling!" conference.

"The world has entered an era of fundamental changes and serious challenges. This concerns not only individual companies and industries, but also entire world countries and regions," the head of state said. According to him, "only a strong, stable and <...> sovereign country can successfully navigate this stage and become one of the growth centers of the new global economy." "This is extremely important," he emphasized.

Additionally, according to Putin, such a country should have powerful industrial, technological, infrastructural, human and financial capabilities, as well as a dynamic domestic market. It should be "a country that knows clearly how to defend political, economic, trade interests, the interests of national industry and its foreign business partners," the Russian president added.
