MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to speak at a plenary session of the VTB Russia Calling! Investment forum on December 7, the press service of VTB Bank reported.
"As part of the first day of the 14th VTB Russia Calling! Investment Forum, two sessions will be held, which will focus on expanding interaction between sovereign states and finding a new balance in the global economy - by tradition, as part of the plenary session of the forum, Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to make an address, after which the head of state will answer questions from forum participants - investors from China, India, Turkey, the Gulf countries, the Middle East, Africa, Central and Southeast Asia and other countries Russia is developing cooperation with," the press release says.
President and Chairman of the Board of VTB Bank Andrey Kostin will act as the moderator of the first plenary session.
First Deputy President - Chairman of the Board of VTB Bank Dmitry Pyanov will moderate the second session, which will focus on business and international cooperation in the context of sanctions, information security, monetary and budgetary policies of Russia. The speakers at that session will be Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, Bank of Russia Chief Elvira Nabiullina, Russian Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov, and Russian Presidential Aide Maxim Oreshkin. Business representatives, who will take part in the dialogue are President and Chairman of the Board of MMC Norilsk Nickel Vladimir Potanin and co-founder of Positive Technologies Yury Maximov.
"Russia is coping with the challenges thrown at it with dignity. Despite the fact that more than 13,000 sanctions restrictions have been imposed on our country - an unprecedented case in world history - the growth rate of our economy does not differ from the world average. In terms of GDP, Russia has already surpassed the pre-sanction level. Obviously, that the attempts of Western countries to isolate our country economically and technologically have not achieved their goal. We remain open to partnership dialogue on equal terms - this is precisely the platform that the Russia Calling! forum has always been, where investors can get answers to any of their questions directly from the President of Russia," Kostin noted, as quoted by the VTB press service.
The forum will be held on December 7-8. The main theme of this year's forum is "Making Deglobalization: Uniting Sovereign Economies." Broadcasts of sessions and the event program can be viewed on the official website of the event.
