MOSCOW, November 22. /TASS/. A record-breaking number of national brands has emerged in Russia, President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with cabinet members.

"The record high number of new Russian brands appeared over the past, the prior year; the share of foreign brands is contracting," the head of state said.

Putin suggested discussing "support of Russian brands" at the meeting.
