Russia remains major energy supplier to foreign markets — deputy prime minister

Alexey Overchuk also noted that APEC economies' pursuit of sustainable growth implies their barrier-free cooperation

SAN FRANCISCO /California/, November 17. /TASS/. Russia remains a reliable and major supplier of energy resources to the foreign market, Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk, who heads the Russian delegation at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit taking place in San Francisco, said.

"Russia is a transpacific power, and it remains a reliable major supplier of energy resources to external markets. The main focus is on supplying Asia-Pacific economies, and in fact we have reoriented our product streams from the West to the East," Overchuk said at the summit session on climate and energy transition.

The deputy prime minister noted that APEC economies' pursuit of sustainable growth implies their barrier-free cooperation and a balance between addressing practical needs and reducing humanity's impact on the climate.
