Russia should reduce reliance on imports to 15% in 2030-2035

Russian Presidential Aide Maxim Oreshkin also stated that the development of areas of the Russian economy such as domestic tourism and the technology industry

MOSCOW, November 4. /TASS/. By 2030-2035, the Russian economy should reduce share of imports in consumption structure to 15%, Russian Presidential Aide Maxim Oreshkin said on Saturday.

"According to the figure I’ve mentioned (the share of imports in consumption - TASS), we should reach a level of about 15% of further reduction in the participation of imports in the structure of our consumption somewhere in 2030-2035," he said.

Oreshkin also stated that the development of areas of the Russian economy such as domestic tourism and the technology industry, which will become one of the main drivers of the Russian economy's development over the next ten years, will play a significant part in reducing the share of imports in consumption.
