MOSCOW, October 23. /TASS/. Producers of certain kinds of fertilizers requested authorities to adjust export duties on them, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development told TASS.
An option is being discussed to cancel duties for ammonia and methanol producers and slash potash duties from 10% to 3%, a source in a relevant authority told TASS.
"Yes," the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development said, responding to a question whether fertilizer producers had applied to revise duties. The ministry refused to give more details, noting that the meeting date has not yet been fixed for the subcommittee on customs and tariff regulation under the Ministry of Economic Development.
Flexible export duties for a wide range of goods pegged to the ruble rate are in effect in Russia from October 1 and until the end of 2024.
