MOSCOW, April 3. /TASS/. The Russian military-industrial complex has increased the output of various arms and combat hardware units several times last year to satisfy the needs of the special military operation in Ukraine, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin told the State Duma.
"In order to provide our defenders with everything necessary, the output was considerably increased and hundreds of enterprises, research institutes and design bureaus were additionally engaged. Their scientists and engineers designed advances samples (of arms and hardware)," he said.
The defense industry considerably increased the output of arms and hardware, electronic warfare and protection means, medical equipment for field conditions, and military outfit. "The growth was several times in many positions," Mishustin said.
The output of automobiles and armored vehicles grew three times, weapons - seven times, communications, electronic warfare and reconnaissance means - nine times, he said.
"I would like to thank all specialists who are actively engaged in the production of everything necessary for our heroes, army and navy," he said.
