MOSCOW, November 4. /TASS/. The Russian Armed Forces repelled an enemy attack in the Kherson direction, destroying more than 60 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
"In the Kherson direction, units of Russian troops repelled an enemy attack. As a result, the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces amounted to more than 60 military personnel killed and wounded, 6 vehicles, as well as the Msta-B howitzer," the ministry said.
The losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces per day in the Donetsk direction reached up to 140 military personnel, a Leopard tank and two armored vehicles. They also lost about 10 pieces of equipment as a result of counter-battery warfare by the Russian Armed Forces, the ministry reported.
"In the Donetsk direction, units of the Southern Group of Forces, in cooperation with aviation and artillery, defeated the manpower and equipment of the 42nd mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the areas of the settlements of Kurdyumovka and Kleshcheevka of the Donetsk People’s Republic. Enemy losses in this direction amounted to up to 140 military personnel, a Leopard tank, two armored combat vehicles, three cars," the statement said.
Russian troops also repelled five attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye direction. "The Russian group of troops, with air strikes and artillery fire, repelled five attacks by assault groups of the 33rd, 65th and 118th mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces the Zaporozhye direction, and also inflicted fire damage on a unit of the 82nd air assault brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area of the settlement in the Zaporozhye region. Up to 30 military personnel, 6 armored combat vehicles, 3 cars were destroyed, and a US-made M777 artillery system was also damaged," the ministry said.
In the Zaporozhye direction Russian troops repelled five attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Armed Forces of Ukraine lost up to 100 military personnel and two armored vehicles in the Krasny Liman direction in one day. "Coordinated actions of units of the Center group of forces, army aviation strikes, and artillery fire repelled two attacks by assault groups of the 24th mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the 15th regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine in the Krasny Liman direction," the ministry said.
