NATO confirms fact that it wages proxy war on Russia — DPR's acting head

Denis Pushilin added that Western politicians are increasingly allowing themselves to make aggressive statements towards Russia

DONETSK, January 31. /TASS/. NATO has effectively confirmed that the alliance is already in a state of indirect, proxy war with Russia.

This attitude is evident from the statements of a number of Western politicians, Denis Pushilin, the acting head of the Donetsk People's Republic, has said.

On January 29, NATO Military Committee Chairman Rob Bauer said in an interview with the Portuguese television channel RTP that the North Atlantic Alliance was ready for direct confrontation with Russia. Bauer stressed that NATO member-states needed to be better prepared, because Russia currently had the military initiative.

"NATO Military Committee Chairman [Rob] Bauer said that NATO is 'ready for direct confrontation with Russia’. In fact, he confirmed that ‘indirectly’ they are already at war," he wrote on his Telegram channel on Tuesday.

Pushilin added that Western politicians are increasingly allowing themselves to make aggressive statements towards Russia.

"But at the same time, they almost always add: we are not in a state of war, the supplies of weapons do not mean a direct conflict. But information about the real state of affairs is already leaking into the public space," he specified.

As an example, Pushilin cited German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock’s remark that the West is at war with Russia. "In this way, she tried to persuade EU members to increase the supply of weapons to Ukraine - a country that

Europe has for many years used as a tool for provocations against Russia. Baerbock did not say anything new. We’ve known this all along," Pushilin added.
