Cutting off Ukrainian army’s supplies near Artyomovsk priority for Russian forces — DPR

The reconnaissance reports said that the Ukrainian military was fortifying its positions

MOSCOW, January 30. /TASS/. Cutting off the Ukrainian army’s supplies along the road from Chasov Yar to Artyomovsk (called Bakhmut in Ukraine) is a priority for Russian forces, acting Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin said on Monday.

"For us, it is important to cut off the Chasov Yar - Artyomovsk road as one of the few remaining supply routes for the enemy’s battlegroup," the DPR leader said in a live broadcast on the Rossiya-24 television channel.

As Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) people’s militia retired Lieutenant-Colonel Andrey Marochko earlier told TASS, the Ukrainian army units are erecting new fortifications and equipping additional weapon emplacements in the area of Chasov Yar. The reconnaissance reports said that the Ukrainian military was fortifying its positions. Also, Ukrainian army reserves were spotted arriving in the area, he added.
