22 foreign aircraft have been registered on reconnaissance flights over the past week

MOSCOW, August 3. /TASS/. Russian Air Force fighter jets have been scrambled five time over the past week to intercept foreign aircraft near the state borders of Russia, Krasnaya Zvezda daily reported citing a source in the Defense Ministry.

According to the data provided by the daily, 22 foreign aircraft have been registered on reconnaissance flights over the past week and were all buzzed off by Russian fighter jets and "there were no violations of state borders."

The daily also added that pilots of the Russian Air Force conducted a total of 267 training mission flights over the past week taking off and landing at 75 airfields across the country.
