Polish Defense Minister recognizes Kiev's critical situation in special military op zone

According to Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, the Ukrainian population feels "enormous war fatigue"

MOSCOW, December 10. /TASS/. Ukraine's position has significantly deteriorated in recent weeks, Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz said on the Radio Zet radio station.

"Over the past few weeks, the situation on the battlefield has deteriorated significantly," the minister stated. "The Russians have greatly intensified their offensive, reclaiming substantial territory in the Kursk Region that had been occupied by Ukrainian forces. They are advancing daily - and at a pace far exceeding anything we saw throughout 2023," he added.

According to him, the Ukrainian population feels "enormous war fatigue." In addition, fewer Ukrainians are joining the army, Kosiniak-Kamysz added. Desertions among Ukrainian military personnel, including those undergoing training in Poland, have become more frequent in recent months, he said.

The day before, the Ukrainian armed forces' General Staff said that the situation was difficult for the country's military along the entire line of engagement.
