TEL AVIV, November 18. /TASS/. Fragments of an intercepted projectile launched from Lebanon fell down near Tel Aviv, injuring several people, the Israeli police said.
"Missile fragments fell down near Tel Aviv - several civilians received injuries, damage was done. The police are cordoning off the crash sites and helping evacuate the wounded," it said.
It did not say however how many people were injured.
According to Israel’s 12th TV channel, so far, five people have been reported to be injured, including one in condition of moderate gravity. Fragments fell down in Tel Aviv’s eastern suburbs, it said, adding that one fragment hit a power line, causing fire.
Earlier in the day, sirens sounded in central Israel, including in Tel Aviv. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said that one missile flying from Lebanon had been intercepted.
