ANKARA, November 8. /TASS/. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has described the brutalities in the Gaza Strip as a global disgrace that Ankara will not overlook, Anadolu Agency reported.
"What is happening in Gaza today is genocide in the truest sense. Innocent people, mostly women and children, are becoming victims of this cruel slaughter. Bombs are pouring down on a piece of land with over two million people living on it. Unfortunately, we are witnessing a shameful chapter in world history," Erdogan told reporters upon his return from Budapest, where he participated in the meeting of the European Policy Community on November 7.
Erdogan emphasized that Turkey will continue to expose Israel’s brutality, its violations of human rights and international law. "Even if the whole world ignores the massacres in Gaza and the cries of mothers and their babies, we will remember and recount. [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu and his regime will have to pay for what they have done," Erdogan stated.
