France will continue to provide Ukraine with long-term support in the economic, military and humanitarian areas, Stephane Sejourne said

PARIS, January 13. /TASS/. France's new Foreign Minister Stephane Sejourne has visited Kiev and pledged long-term support to Ukraine, BFMTV television reported.

"I came here to inform you that France will continue to provide Ukraine with long-term support in the economic, military and humanitarian areas," Sejourne said, according to the report.

The minister also said French officials will make several trips to Kiev to assess Ukraine's current needs.

The Elysee Palace announced new cabinet members on Thursday, two days after appointing the 34-year-old Gabriel Attal as prime minister. In one of the key changes, Sejourne took over from Catherine Colonna as foreign minister.
