Ukrainian TV host refuses to return home from work trip to Brussels

According to the Strana media outlet, Alexey Pechy himself described the move as a difficult one

MOSCOW, December 23. /TASS/. Ukrainian TV host Alexey Pechy decided not to return home after a trip to Brussels to cover an European Union summit.

"Pechy was accredited to cover the EU summit that took place on December 14-15. The journalist and former Channel 24 host did not return to Ukraine after the event was over," the TV channel said in a statement.

The TV channel’s Director General Roman Andreiko pointed out that he was shocked by what Pechy had done.

According to the Strana media outlet, the journalist himself described the move as a difficult one. He explained that attitudes towards Ukraine were changing in the West and he decided to stay in the European Union to contribute to promoting "Ukraine’s agenda" in the media.
