WASHINGTON, December 13. /TASS/. Kiev hopes that it will not be left without support from the West, primarily from the United States, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said after talks with his US counterpart, Joe Biden.

"I’ve been talking a lot with representatives of both parties. Both Democrats and Republicans pledged full support. We will see, but before this we’ve always been trusting in support by our strategic partner, the United States, and we consider that it will continue this way and Ukraine will not remain alone," he said. Earlier, he only shrugged his shoulders when asked about Kiev’s chances to win without the United States’ assistance during a meeting with Biden in the Oval Office.

The Ukrainian leader also said that he rules out any territorial concessions to settle the conflict.

This topic is not often raised in the West. Thus, US Senator from Ohio James David Vance (Republican) said that the idea of Ukraine’s returning to the 1991 border is absurd and Kieb will have to cede some of its territories to Russia.

Zelensky is currently on a visit to the United States. On Tuesday, he visited the US Congress and held talks with Biden.
