US military base in western Iraq hit by missile strike — TV

DUBAI, November 21. /TASS/. The US military Al-Asad Airbase in Iraq's al-Anbar Governorate was attacked with missiles, the Sky News Arabia TV channel reported.

According to the channel, the attack on the American base took place in the early morning. No information was given on the damage caused.

For its part, the Islamic Front for Iraqi Resistance group said on the evening of November 20 that it had attacked the military base with a drone, which hit the target.

On November 15, supporters of the group launched several rocket attacks on the Al-Asad airbase. It had been attacked several times before: on November 6, 9, and 11, Shiite militants used drones in their attacks. According to the Pentagon, US military facilities in Syria and Iraq have been hit about 50 times since October 17.
