Hamas calls on Arab states to stop normalization of relations with Israel

Hamas underscored that the volume of humanitarian aid coming through the Rafah checkpoint does not meet the growing demand of the Gaza population

CAIRO, October 24. /TASS/. The Hamas movement calls on Arab and Islamic states that maintain diplomatic relations with Israel to sever them and on all others to stop the process of normalization of relations, the movement said on its Telegram channel.

"[We urge Arab and Islamic states] to sever ties over the occupation [meaning Israel - TASS], to expel ambassadors from Arab and Islamic states that maintain relations [with Israel], and to stop all forms of normalization," Hamas said.

In addition, the Palestinian radicals called on all Arab Leagues states and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation states to boycott Israel.

Hamas underscored that the volume of humanitarian aid coming through the Rafah checkpoint does not meet the growing demand of the Gaza population. The movement called on the Arab world, the UN and all stakeholders to ramp up their efforts in this area. In particular, Hamas calls to "ensure the delivery of fuel in sufficient volume," to deliver "equipment to clear debris" state still cover bodies of those killed during strikes, as well as potential survivors.

The situation in the Middle East has escalated abruptly after an armed infiltration of HAMAS militant from the Gaza Strip into Israel. The HAMAS movement considers this attack a response to the actions of Israeli authorities towards the Al Aqsa Mosque at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Israel announced a complete blockade of the Gaza Strip and started carrying out strikes at the enclave and at certain areas of Lebanon and Syria. Clashes also take place in the West Bank.
