BEIJING, July 31. /TASS/. The business activity index (PMI) of the Chinese manufacturing sector increased by 0.3 percentage points (pp) in July compared to June and reached 49.3, according to the National Bureau of Statistics of China.

According to the released report, the PMI of large enterprises in China remained unchanged, amounting to 50.3. Medium-sized companies saw an increase of 0.1 pp to 49. Small producers showed the most significant positive dynamics: the index in their segment increased by 1 pp and reached 47.4.

Meanwhile, the business activity index (PMI) of the non-manufacturing sector of China in July fell by 1.7 pp compared to June, amounting to 51.5.

The index value above 50 points evidences an increase in the business activity and the value below such level means it is slowing down.
