Ukraine quits agreement with Russia on joint space exploration

The Ukrainian authorities regularly announce their withdrawal from the agreements signed with Russia and Belarus, as well as within the Commonwealth of Independent States

KIEV, February 4. /TASS/. Ukraine has terminated the 1996 intergovernmental agreement with Russia on exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes, Taras Melnichuk, the Ukrainian government’s representative to the Verkhovna Rada parliament, wrote on his Telegram channel on Saturday.

"The agreement between the government of Ukraine and the government of Russia on cooperation in the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes has been terminated," he said.
