Especially valuable materials from Ukrainian biological laboratories were exported to the United States in early February, the rest should be irrevocably destroyed, Head of the Russian Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Forces Igor Kirillov said at an informal meeting held in the format of an Arria-Formula meeting at the UN Security Council on Wednesday.

"According to available data, there is an emergency destruction of evidence of breaches of Articles 1 and 4 of the BTWC in Ukrainian biological laboratories. Back in early February, the most valuable samples of biomaterials were taken from Odessa to the United States by the US military transport aircraft, and laboratory equipment was sent to Lvov," Kirillov noted.

He recalled that according to the Russian military, the Ukrainian Health Ministry has set a task since February 24 to completely destroy the biopathogens in the laboratories.
