June 21 marks the Day of canine units of the Russian Interior Ministry. The first Russia’s kennel and dog training school was opened 107 years ago today in St. Petersburg. In many countries police dogs help searching for drugs and explosives, searching for lost people, looking for crime scene evidence and protecting their handlers. Pictures of four-legged brave ones ready to go to work - in this gallery by TASS.
