MOSCOW, April 11. /TASS/. The US bears full responsibility for the biological and military occupation of Ukraine, State Duma Deputy Speaker Irina Yarovaya said.
"Today, it is entirely obvious that the Pentagon hatched a plan for the bio-military occupation of Ukraine. It is precisely upon the United States that the blame and responsibility rest for the biological and military occupation of Ukraine; there is simply no other way of putting it," she said at a plenary session of the State Duma on Tuesday where the final report of the Russian parliamentary commission probing US biolabs in Ukraine was presented.
She noted that, with the assistance of the Kiev regime, more than 50 laboratories were established, inside the walls of which secret research and experiments were conducted on Ukrainian citizens. "As a result of this occupation, Ukraine became a hotspot of dangerous diseases, including some of unclear origin," the lawmaker stressed.
Yarovaya noted that the US’ bio-military project entails the development of next-generation weapons of mass destruction. "We must understand that this project is being carried out by a very formidable, multi-tentacled network of military-biological structures backed by a multibillion [dollar] budget. The [US] Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) is only one of the operators running the Pentagon’s project on the ground in Ukraine, albeit the leading such agency. The United States has been very systematically implementing the military-biological occupation of Ukraine. We adamantly maintain precisely that this was a long-term strategy," she said.
Both the State Duma (lower house) and Federation Council (upper house) approved a decree last March that called for conducting a parliamentary investigation into the activities of US biolabs in Ukraine and for establishing a joint bicameral commission to lead such an investigation. The procedure laying the groundwork for the parliamentary investigation was set under instructions from State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin. The committee is made up of 14 Duma lawmakers (deputies) and 14 members of the Federation Council (senators). It is co-chaired by Yarovaya and Federation Council Deputy Speaker Konstantin Kosachev.
