Those behind strikes on Donetsk, other terrorist acts to be punished — Foreign Ministry

Russia calls on all responsible governments and specialized international organizations to condemn Kiev's crimes against civilians

MOSCOW, January 1. /TASS/. All those responsible for the strikes on Donetsk and other terrorist attacks on Russian territory will be punished, the Foreign Ministry has said in a statement.

"Russian law enforcement agencies have promptly launched an investigation into this crime. All those involved and responsible for this and other terrorist attacks on the territory of our country will be inevitably punished," the statement reads.

"At the same time, the West must understand: the criminal regime it has nurtured and sponsored and which it continues to support in attacks on Russia will one day turn NATO weapons against the NATO countries themselves," the Foreign Ministry warns.

Russia calls on all responsible governments and specialized international organizations to condemn Kiev's crimes against civilians.

"We call on all responsible governments and specialized international organizations to distance themselves from the actions and decisions of the Kiev junta, to condemn its crimes and the challenging and cynical extermination of civilians. Silence is regarded by the Ukrainian neo-Nazis as approval of their actions," the statement says.

"Armed groups of Ukrainian neo-Nazis, acting with the support of the 'collective West' continue to commit terrorist acts against the civilian population of Russia," the Foreign Ministry stated. "It is obvious that there is nothing human for them. Neither New Year's Eve nor Christmas holidays can stop them."

"On New Year's Eve, a massive attack with multiple rocket launchers hit the center of Donetsk and other residential quarters of the city and civilian infrastructure," the Foreign Ministry said.
